On a Mission

The sun has not been out for a while here in Auckland. Since I have been hiding at home for almost for days (Yes seriously the furthest destination I had been to was the garage). So, I decided to go to Mission Bay with a couple of friends and absorb some sunlight in such a beautiful weather.

I am totally in love with Sasha's snakeskin print heels from Zara. For such summerish breezy weather, I am wearing a tank top by Stolen Girlfriends Club, Karen Walker sunnies and Birkenstock jandals.

Sea Monsters

Recently I was lucky to go to the Karen Walker SS 2012/13 show to view the latest collection "Sea Monsters". It was held in an old vintage bar with an open area inside. Unfortunately I did not successfully take any nice photo due to my lack of experience of using the new camera, the photos are all blurry as there was not a lot of light. Anyway the collection is all about patterns and the shiny golden embroidered dress and the sunglasses really caught my eyes. It is always exciting to see KW's eyewears.  The show was not formal like a fashion show with stage but models just walked on the runway will all the people standing beside, everyone was having fun and relaxing. Holding a show in such way gives everyone a chance catching up, chilling and chit-chatting before the show starts. The new collection is full of paisley prints which give everyone options for summer other than florals.

Great thank you to Mona for bringing me to the show. It has been a night with coolness.

Be more jewelled

Here are some more jewellery choices for guys to decorate their outfits, applies to girls too! Golden and crystals are the points.

Rings by Alexander McQueen

These are my favourites. Silver bracelets and rings with mineral rocks or crystals. Perfect match for Rick Owens-kind styles.

WE ARE UGLY BUT WE HAVE THE MUSIC

New Zealand Fashion Week is on the way. The NZTV FOUR is holding a contest and the 2 winners will be heading to the Fashion Week to blog about the shows and report inside. It is such a great opportunity to be working in Fashion Week, meeting models and designers, snap-shoting people on street like Tommy Ton, and all the champagne (just kidding). I have always been fascinating about Fashion Week and fashion shows ,but however, one second thought I probably do not have the credential to call myself a "blogger". Anyway, back in the days when I came to New Zealand, I realised there is something special about New Zealand's fashion. It is not like brands such as Rick Owens, Givenchy or Balenciaga etceteras, so "untouchable". New Zealand's fashion is more durable in style, more sophisticated, and of course, cheaper in price. Now, I would like to introduce one of my favourite NZ brands, Stolen Girlfriends Club.

I first met this brand about 3 years ago when I bought a heavy, bulky, doll-like scarf in NZ and I loved their designs after I searched about this brand. The best thing is, they hold sample sale every year (although good things go very quickly and you have to try on stuff in front of people) which is crazy but fun in the same way. Here are some campaigns of Stolen Girlfriends Club

F/W 2012 Ad Campaign

Stolen Girlfriends Club has brought surprises and fun every year with music and cool styles in the all the fashion shows. Here is their famous supermarket show for the F/W 2011 collection.

And the latest S/S 2012/13 show

Really looking forward to their F/W 2013 show for NZFW this year! I am getting excited what they are gonna bring to the show, although I will only be watching videos and pictures online.

Be Jewelled

Talk about men's fashion, boring, especially in summer. I am a super sweaty person and I hate wearing too much in summer. For people like me, other than wearing large printed tee or colourful stuff, you must need some accessories to make a little bit of fun on your outfit. It has become sophisticated that guys wearing jewellery. Yes jewellery not accessories meaning those shiny, glittering, extravagant necklaces or bracelets. Schield Collection was established in 2009 and their jewellery is made with precious materials and all made in Italy. The quality and creative yet contemporary design are what make the collection precious.  Here is the F/W2012 collection's campaign by fashion photographer Diego Diaz Marin.

It is not easy to wear these beautiful jewellery for men. White tee or shirt will match them very well. Let's see how the fashion blogger Pelayo Diaz carry the necklace.

Walk, Walk, Fashion Baby

Hello everyone. It has been a super duper long update since the last one. Forgive my laziness because I was too busy with stuff in my life. Schoolworks, friends visiting, etceteras. Okay I think I really need to work on my blog more and more. As it is summer heels and sandals are essential for girls to decorate and show off their long beautiful legs. Recall from the past few years Céline had become popular and there were full of wooden Clogs on the street in summer (Now they are still popular!).

Tired of wedges, wooden clogs, thick heels sandals? Here are some of my recommendations of summer shoes. Attention: Fashion is not comfortable. If you get comfortable, you don't get the look.

I am not sure if there are specific names for this specific type of heels, with very flat platform and thin heels, I come up with a name "super flat heels" for them.

Sandals from Givenchy with metal spike details in black

Alexander Wang metallic sandals. The features I love about these is, metallic, and the skinny strap at the front. These appear on a lot of snapshots in fashion week. They also come in black but, come on, who wants any more black in summer?

Alexander Wang, pointed toe heels, which give you a little bit of elegance and white is chic. They go perfect with almost everything, boyfriend jeans, floral skirts, white denim shorts...

Chloé sandals in nude. I saw these Chloé sandals in Rumi Neely's blog, fashion toast, in the post about her personal shoes collections. These are just so her!

These heels are so painful to even look at, and they really are since it is so so flat at the front. Watch your steps! Oh BTW, make sure you have sufficient foot care and pedicure before you go on to the street with them.
